 Colin Curran was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey where he was educated by the Jesuit Fathers at St. Peters Preparatory High School. He attended Boston College where he studied Economics and Philosophy. After college, he worked briefly in the financial industry and then attended graduate school at the University of California and obtained a Masters Degree in European History. He attended medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. After medical school, he completed residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, followed by a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology, also at MUSC.
His wife, Margaret, is a rheumatologist by training but is currently the full-time mother of two small children, Caroline and Emma.
Dr. Curran is a general Medical Oncologist and Hematologist but has a special interest in the areas of cancers related to the urothelial system including kidney, bladder and prostate.
His free time is mostly spent with his wife and small children but he does enjoy golf and reading history books. |
